Imvula Therapy Services

Move - Play - Care Visits
Structured one hour individualized therapeutic sessions, focusing on exercising and massaging muscles, as well as sensory, educational, fine and gross motor skills activities, in the comfort and safety of their own homes. This reduces the stress of new surroundings and easily fits into their routines. Sessions are planned to suit the needs and requirements of each client, working within their abilities.

Imvula Water Therapy
Water Therapy allows freedom of movement in the water, which is not always possible out of water. Being immersed in water provides a calming support, pressure and buoyancy that helps persons with disabilities develop their sensory processing skills and reach new physical milestones while having FUN! 30-Minute sessions take place in a heated pool in Pinetown.

Imvula Family Support
Having a person with disabilities in the family puts a lot of stress and strain on that family, who often become isolated or disconnected from society. Imvula Family Support is particularly aimed at supporting YOU, the parents! We look after your child while you go out or perhaps provide a helping hand taking your child out.

Imvula Senior Care
At Imvula Therapy Centre, we deal with all ages and levels of disabilities. Our Senior Care branch supports our senior citizens who need assistance after illness or injuries. Massaging, stretches and exercising are just some of the services we offer. If you are not in the same area as your loved one in Durban and surrounding areas, Imvula Senior Care can help with companion visits and keeping an eye on your loved ones, giving you peace of mind.

Imvula Social Club
One of the biggest struggles for a person with disabilities is to make friendships outside of their families. Having friendships are important in one’s life as friendships ignite the part of the brain that makes us feel good about ourselves. Imvula Social Club is a virtual group for young adults with disabilities. We connect with young adults all over South Africa via a WhatsApp group.
